How long will the 0.5 oz. size and the 2 oz. tin last?

A little bit of Battle Balm® goes a long way. The 0.5 oz tin is perfect for those occasional times when you need serious pain relief. The personal size is compact enough for your overnight bag or weekend trips. Depending on frequency and the size of the area you are treating, the 0.5 oz. size can last between a few weeks to a few months. Our 2 oz. container can last anywhere from a month to a year or more depending on how often you use it. A little bit goes a looooong way. You can pack Battle Balm® in your pocket or gym bag without a fuss. Store it in a relatively cool place to maintain its potency. Stick it in the fridge if you don't plan on using it for a while!

What gives? Is my tin of Battle Balm® expired?

We want our quality control on par with our products. As of January 2014, every Battle Balm® tin will have a manufactured date (marked MFG) defined as when your tin was created as well as a lot code (marked LOT) defined as what batch your tin came from.
Battle Balm® has a pretty stellar shelf life, and since it is antibacterial and antifungal, your tin won't collect germs. BUT, the product will degrade over time and the components may eventually start to separate, especially if your tin is kept in a setting with fluctuating temperature ranges.

Battle Balm MFG and LOT label

Keep it in an environment between 50°F (10°C) and 75°F(23.8°C) and you can expect your tin to maintain full potency up to two years after the MFG date printed on the label.
To help it stay potent even longer, store your tins in the refrigerator when you won't be using it for a while.

How is Battle Balm® better quality than Tiger Balm™ and the other brands?

It's simple. We use the highest quality ingredients and where we can, we use certified organic herbs. The natural and organic herbal plants in Battle Balm® are potent, better for your body, and safer for the environment. We could have filled Battle Balm® with cheap chemical alternatives, but you can find those products everywhere else in the industry. Battle Balm® doesn't burn as much as some of the other products I've tried. Why not?

Battle Balm® was not created to make skin feel hotter or colder than the other brands out there. Producing a heightened skin sensation is not our primary goal. Our goal is to create the best topical pain reliever on the market. We know that even too much of a good thing, isn't so good anymore, so we designed Battle Balm® to be a balanced analgesic and muscle rub. You will notice it. Trust us. And if all you're looking for is a really strong burning sensation, rub a bit on your crotch.
